Romania, Average price on OPCOM DAM 247.8 euros per MWh in December, SEE Energy News
The total volume of trade on the Romanian day-ahead electricity market, OPCOM DAM, in December 2022 was 2.07 million MWh, which is 7.4% less compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the monthly report of the exchange operator.
Compared to November 2022, the volume decreased by 2.4% in December. The average trade volume was 2,788 MWh per hour.
The share of DAM in the projected net national consumption was 46.1%.
The average price for base load at DAM in December was 247.8 euros per MWh, which is 11.4% more than in the same month last year (222.44 euros per MWh). On a monthly basis, the price increased by 7.6%.
The value of transactions on OPCOM DAM in December increased on an annual basis by 3.4%, to 549.4 million euros.
The weighted average intraday market price, OPCOM IDM, was 271.9 euros per MWh in December, and the trade volume was 88,734 MWh.
