Renewable energy project developer Econergy has acquired 87 MW solar power plant project in development in Parau in central Romania.
According to deal advisor Vlasceanu, Nyerges & Partners, construction activities for the project will start in the first half of 2022, without dislosing the value of the transaction.
Along with the deal for the 153 MW Ratesti solar project, which was closed earlier this month, the closing of the Parau project supports Econergy’s target of 1.5 GW of installed RES capacity in Romania.
In early November, real estate developer Portland Trust has completed the sale of the largest solar power plant currently under development in Romania, with an authorized production capacity of over 153 MW and an estimated total area of over 165 hectares, located in Ratesti, Arges County, to Econergy and Nofar Energy.
