Romania: Electrica energy company marks 1H2015 net profit jump
, SEE Energy NewsRomanian electricity distributor Electrica recorded a consolidated net profit of EUR 62.6 million in the first six months of the year, up by EUR 14.4 million, or 30%, compared to the same period of last year.
The operating profit amounted to EUR 71.6 million between January and June this year, up by 14% compared to the same period in 2014.
Electrica saw operating revenues of EUR 616 million, up 9.5% year-on-year. The revenues from electricity distribution increased by 7% to EUR 275 million, whereas the revenues from electricity supply went up by 5% to EUR 489 million.
The company supplied 2% more energy, contrary to the decreasing trend recorded at national level.
