Romania: Electrica North plans 24MEUR profit in 2014

Energy company Electrica Muntenia Nord has planned for this year achieving a net profit of 24 million euros. Electrica Muntenia Nord is the electricity distribution company in Braila, Buzau, Vrancea, Galati, Prahova and Dâmboviţa. The parent company, Electrica, was listed this month on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.

The company estimated revenue of 813 million lei, of which the most part, that 804 million lei, represents operating income. Other 9 million are financial income.

Total expenditure envisaged will rise to 686 million lei, the largest being all the operating, ie 677 million lei. Financial expenses will be 9 million lei.

The gross profit was estimated at 127 million lei, while the remaining after tax profit of 106 million lei. The company also planned, total investment of £ 151 million this year.

Electrica Muntenia Nord will be at the end of 2156 employees and average monthly earnings per employee, determined based on salary costs will be £ 4,359 per employee.
