Romania: Electricity consumption record
, SEE Energy NewsDue to high temperatures registered in the last period, the values of the national electricity consumption, reached historical maximum levels, for summer season exceeding those registered at the end of June this year, according to electricity transmission system operator Transelectrica.
Thus, the maximum electricity consumption was achieved on 15 July between 13:00 and 14:00 hours – 8,687 MW, with 8,617 MW recorded on 14 July. The maximum hourly consumption was of 8,489 MW and 8,552 MW on 14 and 15 July, respectively. Also, the average consumption was of 7,436 MW and 7,474 MW, in these two days.
