Enel Distributie Muntenia, Romanian subsidiary of Italian energy company Enel, released an announcement in which it said that it has completed the upgrade of electricity distribution network in Giurgiu county, a project worth some 445,000 euros.

This is a part of a wider project for the modernization of Giurgiu electricity distribution network. The project relates to low voltage and medium voltage networks. So far, about 19,000 meters of cable have been replaced and about 1,000 customers at Copaciu, Uzunu and Anghelesti now have better and more stable electricity supply.

Enel is active in the Romanian energy market since 2005 and is currently the largest private investor in energy in Romania. Enel Romania has over 3,100 employees and offers its services to more than 2.7 million clients in three regions: Muntenia South, Banat and Dobrogea, thus covering about a third of distribution market in Romania, transmits Serbia-energy.eu
