The company’s officials said that this power plant is only the beginning of its plans in Romania, having a pipeline of energy projects of 4 GW.
The Teius solar power plant is the fourth renewable energy project developed by Eurowind Energy in Romania, the company has 12 operational power plants in Europe with a capacity of 100 MW.
The other local projects are solar power plants in Halchiu, Magurele (built in 2013) and Pufesti (built in 2012), each with a capacity of 2,03 MW, 3,38 MW and 1,5 MW, respectively, totaling around 7 MW.
Scheduled to become operational in 2024, the Teius solar power plant will be developed on 80 hectares of land. It will have 119,184 photovoltaic modules, with a total installed capacity of 70 MW, generating 102.05 GWh of electricity per year. The new project will be able to supply electricity annually for up to 30,050 households.
