Eximprod Group has successfully completed the construction of a 50 MW solar power plant in Ciorani, located in Romania’s Prahova County, marking a major milestone in the country’s renewable energy efforts.
With an installed capacity of 49.5 MW, the solar facility is now undergoing final commissioning procedures and is in the process of being connected to Romania’s national electricity grid. Described by Eximprod as both “ambitious and impactful,” the project is poised to make a substantial contribution to the nation’s green energy transition.
In addition to the solar installation, the site includes a 21 MW energy storage system designed to enhance grid stability and energy reliability. A new 110/20 kV transformer substation has also been constructed on-site to support seamless integration with the power network.
