Romania, Hidroelectrica launched tender for the feasibility study for HPP project

Romanian electricity producer Hidroelectrica has launched a tender for the procurement of services for the development of a feasibility study for the construction of another hydropower plant on the Buzau river.

Hydro complex on the Buzau river currently consists of five hydropower plants: HPP Nehoiasu 1 with installed capacity of 42 MW, HPP Nehoiasu 2, under construction (55 MW), HPP Candesti (11 MW), HPP Vernesti (11,8 MW) i HPP Simileasca with installed capacity of 11,7 MW.

Hidroelectrica has in its portfolio 209 hydro power plants with a total installed capacity of 6,482 MW and average electricity generation of 17 TWh, plus the 108 MW Crucea wind farm.
