Romania: Hidroelectrica sold 33 small hydropower plants
, SEE Energy NewsRomania’s largest electricity producer, Hidroelectrica, will held auction in February for sale of 33 small hydropower plants, of a total of 128 small hydropower plants in its property. The total capacity of hydropower plants offered at auction is 26 megawatts. The initial selling price is 18.8 MEUR.
“We want to maintain and renovate 23 small hydropower plants”, said Rumus Borza for Serbia Energy, director of Euro Insola, the legal administrator of Hidroelectrica, which declared insolvency in February 2014th, for the second time in less than a year.
Small hydropower plants with capacity up to 10 MW are included in renewable energy sources and they can achieve financial support granting green certificates.
Hidroelectrica sold few small hydropower plants in September 2014th.
