In July this year, the average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Romanian energy exchange OPCOM amounted to 37.08 euros/MWh, which is 32.95 % lower compared to the same month in 2019 and 22.3 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 30.32 euros/MWh.
Traded volume in July reached 1.855 million MWh, which is 1.3 % more than in July 2019, and 7.05 % less than in June 2020. Average traded volume in July 2020 amounted to 2,493 MWh/h. The total value of transactions in July amounted to 69.54 million euros, which is by 33.86 % lower compared to July last year (105.14 million euros) and 12.73 % more than in the previous month (61.69 million euros). The share of day-ahead market in forecasted net consumption in July 2020 amounted to 41.08 %.
A total of 37,823.4 MWh was traded on intraday market in July (127.88 % more than in July 2019, and 25.6 % more compared to June 2020), with an average price of 37.01 euros/MWh. Total traded volume for bilateral contracts with delivery in July amounted to 1.137 million MWh, with an average price of 53.69 euros/MWh.
