The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) said that more than 510 million euros were paid to energy suppliers as compensation for subsidized energy prices between November 2021 and March 2022.
Based on GEO 118/2021, regarding the establishment of a compensation scheme for electricity and gas consumption, for the period April 2022 – March 2023, 80 companies submitted a total of 350 applications, of which 264 were approved, 58 being ineligible. The amount sent to the Ministry of Energy exceeds 470 million euros. Based on GEO 27/2022, regarding the measures applicable to final customers in the electricity and natural gas market in the period April 2022 – March 2023, as well as for the modification and completion of some normative acts in the field of energy, additional 40 million euros was sent to the Ministry of Energy.
The amounts sent to the Ministry of Energy in April 2022 amounted to 15.5 million euros, in May to 18 million euros and in June 2022 to 5.7 million euros.
