Serbian oil company NIS, majority owned by Russian GazpromNeft, published a tender for the preparation and obtaining of the documentation necessary for the construction of mining facilities at its concession fields in Romania.
According to tender documentation, the contract envisages the obtaining of all the necessary permits for the project and the preparation of the technical documentation for the projects, entailing, among other things, process and construction designing, an environmental impact assessment, the technology and biological recultivation and the obtaining of the building permit for the mining structures.
NIS’ Romanian subsidiary has six exploration concessions for oil and gas for 25 years in Romania. The exploration fields are located along
the borders with Serbia and Hungary. Two years ago, NIS Petrol Romania built two surface infrastructural facilities, in the location of Teremia and Jimbolia, where experimental production of oil and gas started at the time.
