Romania: Nuclearelectrica concluded a contract with Electrica Furnizare

Romanian electricity producer Nuclearelectrica concluded a contract of 17.4 MEUR for electricity supply from energy supplier Electrica Furnizare. Both companies are state-owned.

Two units of Cernavoda nuclear power plant, owned by Nuclearelectrica, produced 4.63 million MWh of electricity in the first five months of this year, of which 4.2 million MWh was delivered to the national energy system.

The power plant last year produced 11.67 million MWh of energy and achieved a turnover of 400 MEUR.

From Nuclearelectrica estimate that it will soon reach an agreement with the Chinese group China General Nuclear Power Corp. for a project of unit 3 and 4 of NPP Cernavoda.

The Chinese group has won the tender last year, organized by the Romanian state. , transmits Serbia-energy.eu
