The advisor PeliFilip said that real estate developer Portland Trust has completed the sale of the largest solar power plant currently under development in Romania, with an authorized production capacity of over 153 MW and an estimated total area of over 165 hectares, located in Ratesti, Arges County, to Econergy and Nofar Energy.
The sale was announced in August. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. According to PeliParners, the total investment needed to bring the solar power plant online is about 120 million euros.
Nofar Energy is the third-biggest Israeli renewable energy player focusing on solar energy and energy storage, while Ecoenergy is a developer of renewable energy projects based in the UK and operating in Spain, Italy, Poland and Romania.
According to electricity transmission system operator Transelectrica, the solar power plant should be commissioned by the end of 2022.
