In central Romania in Campia Turzii the construction of 13.4 MW gas-fired power plant started by local Romanian E-Infra Group.
The investment, worth some 7 million euros, will consist of two gas-fired units of 6.7 MW each and the extension of the existing 20 kV transmission line. The project should be completed within five months. It represents the first stage of a broader plan that includes constructing a much bigger gas-fired power plant, with an installed capacity of 100 MW.
CEO of Nova Power & Gas, one of the companies within E-Infra Group, Mircea Bica said that the Campia Turzii project is the group’s first investment in state-of-the-art natural gas-fired power plants, with increased efficiency and high operational flexibility. Soon, the group will also invest in the construction of solar power plants, thus expanding its renewable portfolio. E-Infra Group operates in the telecom, energy and construction sectors and has annual revenues of over 100 million euros.
