Romania is injecting more than 13 million cubic metres of gas per day into storage after stronger cross-border inflows and a modest rise in domestic production.
Storage sites are about 78% full. Flows through Kardam/Negru Vodă from Bulgaria have risen to around 14.2 million cubic metres per day, from about 12 million, while domestic production has increased to roughly 23.2 million cubic metres per day from 22.2 million.
With consumption relatively subdued and exports broadly steady, more of the additional supply is available for storage. Faster injections give Romania more cover before winter, though the cost of building stocks remains exposed to wholesale gas prices.
