The current development of the national electricity transmission network requires expediting the stages of electricity infrastructure projects with a view to provide gradual transition to neutral economy in terms of carbon emissions.
To reconfigure the electricity system and the electricity transmission network in accordance with the new lines established in the European legislative packages Green Deal and Fit for 55, the achievement targets of investment plans implemented by Transelectrica should exceed those already planned. The energy transition requires fast adaptation of the electricity transmission grid and its enhanced extension as provided in the 2020 – 2029 Transmission Network Development Plan.
