Romania: Two new SPPs to be built by Monsson Group
, SEE Energy NewsIn the north-western part of Romania, the largest wind farm developer in Romania – Monsson Group is planning to build two solar power plants. The two solar power plants will have a combined installed capacity of 86 MW, with energy storage capacities as well. The cost of the two projects is estimated to 46 million euros.
The first solar plant, located in Satu Mare country, already obtained the connection permit from Transelectrica. It will have power output of 67 MW and will be developed by a subsidiary Camre Energy. The project is expected to be completed within 2022. The second plant, also located in Satu Mare county, will have power output of 20 MW and will be operated by another subsidiary – Sunwind Energy. Izs commissioning is also expected in 2022.
