The gas and electricity markets will be liberalized according to the established timetable, despite the current context of the coronavirus pandemic, said Romanian Minister of Economy and Energy Virgil Popescu.
Minister Popescu stressed that despite the fact that the price of oil and gas fell sharply, the liberalization continues according to the predetermined calendar.
The gas market will be liberalized for household consumers starting 1 July 2020, while the electricity market will be open to those customers starting 1 January 2021.
