SEE region: Croatia: 1.4 TWh of electricity produced in February, SEE Energy News
Net electricity production in Croatia in February 2023 reached 1,406 GWh, which is 19% higher compared to February last year (1,185 GWh).
During February, 613 GWh of electricity (44% of total output) was produced in hydropower plants, 477 GWh (34%) was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 221 GWh (16%), according to data published by Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
In February 2022, Croatia imported 813 GWh of electricity, 7% less compared to February 2021 (876 GWh), while electricity exports stood at 685 GWh, 25% more compared to February last year (550 GWh).
Croatia produced 56 million cubic meters of natural gas in February 2023, the same as last February. Natural gas imports stood at 256 million cubic meters, 31% more than in February 2022.
