Electricity generation in thermal power plants in the Southeast Europe region decreased in the week 14 compared to the previous week, largely due to lower gas-fired electricity generation.
SEE region experienced decreased thermal power generation by 13%, amounting to 5.53 TWh. Production in coal-fired thermal power plants decreased by 12%, to 2.95 TWh, while production in gas power plants fell by 15%, to 2.59 TWh.
Bulgaria, one of the main exporters of electricity in the region, saw a drop in coal-fired power plant generation by 2%, while gas-fired generation increased by 7%.
