SEE: Uniform rules concerning electricity imports from 2014 in all South East Europe
, SEE Energy NewsBeginning next year, the wholesale electricity in the Balkans will be done through uniform rules for all countries in the region. This will allow a special office which was established with this purpose in Montenegro. The Energy Regulatory Office of Albania informed the Transmission System Operator (OST) about the rules which will follow this process.
This year in Podgorica Coordinated Auction Office in South East Europe was founded, which implements the principles of Regulation No. 1228/2003 on the coordination of congestion management and optimization of the distribution of cross-border capacity. The office has already prepared rules of auctions which will come into effect next year and will be binding for the auction participants
