Serbian Ministry of Energy and Company Srbijagas will help RS Ministry of Resources to prepare strategy and study of South Stream through RS. Minister of Energy Zorana Mihajlovic said after the fourth common session Serbian and RS Government that two governments have signed very important memorandum which is one of conditions for constructing RS Sector of South Stream because it is necessary to resolve property issues between Srbijagas and Company Gaspromet Pale.
She said after signing a Memorandum for Understanding in resolving property-legal issues between PC “Srbijagas” and “Gas prometa” that it is necessary to do technical stuff first which are impossible to start realization of South Stream in RS.
“We expect the decision from Government of Republika Srpska to connect Gaspromet Pale to the Company Gas RS and then we’ll determine which part of the property Srbijagas owns in this company”, Mihajovic said for Tanjug.
According to her words, the exact capacity of South Stream that goes through Republika Srpska is not known yet.
“Our interest is for this capacity to be as big as possible up to billion cubic meters, but it is a thing we will discuss more. I expect a value of South Stream to be around 400 million EUR”, Minister stated.
She says that all projects that exist between Serbia and RS are on higher level now.
“One of those projects is realization of energy agreement with Italy which is very significant on mid Drina. Working groups in Banjaluka talked today about making lists of HPPs that will be found in front of Italian partners”, Mihajlovic says.
Minister expects that Serbia will get final list right after a letter sent to Serbian Minister in the shortest possible period during summer and that Italian Government confirm with its decree that it launches these projects.
