Corporate Commercial Bank from Bulgaria is interested in investing in the construction of power plant “Stavalj” and coal mine, announced the Serbian Ministry of Energy .
According to the statement, that bank, the fifth largest in Bulgaria, with its firm – partners, is interested in investing in a power plant and coal mine near Sjenica, according to the project financing model.
Parallel discussions with all interested investors will be held for the purpose of this project realization, including companies from the Czech Republic and China, according to the Ministry of Energy.
Minister of Energy, Development and Environment Protection, Zorana Mihajlovic discussed on investment opportunities in the energy sector in Serbia with Cvetan Vasilev, the majority owner and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Corporate Commercial Bank from Sofia.
Vasilev, whose company invested around 100 MEUR in the “Serbian glass factory” in Paracin, led a delegation that included mining and energy experts, and the meeting also was attended by the working group members in charge of the project of power plant “Stavalj”.
The possible participation of Bulgarian investors in the power plant project in Despotovac also was discussed at the meeting, as well as the possible construction of a new unit in TPP “Morava” in Svilajnac.
