When it comes to the project for the construction of CHPP Kragujevac, the potential further steps on this project will depend on what the preliminary feasibility study shows. Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Zorana Mihajlovic discussed the potential project for the construction of the combined head and power plant (CHPP) in Kragujevac with the representatives of Chinese company TBEA. Minister Mihajlovic said that Serbia is open to new investments in energy sector and is willing to discuss all potential projects. She added that the Government’s working group, which should be established soon, will deal with the project itself. The head of TBEA’s European office Zhang Weiwei, said that the company analyzed the possibilities of investments in Serbia, especially regarding renewable energy sources, including hydropower plants, solar power plants and wind farms, as well as gas-fired power plant projects. TBEA produces equipment for the transfer and distribution of electricity and develops electricity generation facilities, including RES projects.
