Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Zorana Mihajlovic and representatives of Chinese company E-link have discussed cooperation in the process of energy transition, the possibilities for investments in the RES sector, as well as the modernization and implementation of technological upgrades in the operations of state- owned power utility EPS.
The representatives of the Chinese company were informed of the plan for the implementation of advanced measuring systems, which entails the replacement of classic electricity meters with smart ones, and they expressed interest to take part in this project.
East Europe Sales Manager Xuming Sun said that the company believes that Serbia is an important factor in the region, that it is an energy hub, and E-link wants to cooperate more closely in the field of using the its technologies to monitor the operations and upgrade the distribution of electricity. It is also prepared to take part in other projects related to renewable energy resources, with the option for establishing its regional base for the production, development and cooperation in Serbia.
