China’s Mingyang Smart Energy Group Ltd has secured an order to supply its turbines for a 150-MW wind farm project in eastern Serbia.
The proposed Black Peak project will carry 25 units of Minyang’s 6.25-172 onshore wind turbines, which the company says is its widely deployed model.
The wind farm will be located near the city of Bor, at a site where average wind speeds reach 7.4 metres per second at 107.5-metre height. These conditions will enable the wind farm to generate approximately 465 GWh of electricity annually, Minyang said in a press release.
