During this year hydroelectric power plant “Djerdap 1” produced four billion kilowatt – hours and this production is achieved today. This makes 75 percent of annual production plan for 2013.
This has to do with significant production success of “Djerdap” energetics, although it was achieved production on the level of so called dynamics plan for eight months. This year production is higher for 18 percent, namely 570 million kilowatt- hours compared to the same period of the last year. In the Dispatch Service explained this production success with rational use of hydro energetic potential of the Danube.
-It is noted average flow of even 7.300 cubic meters of water per second. This is one of the highest average flows of this big river, and at the same time it is ideal flow for the production of the both Danube hydroelectric power plants – points out Nebojsa Paunovic, hydrologist of HPP “Djerdap”. – Unfortunately, it has to do with average, because during this year the Danube recorded both maximum and minimum results. This spring, because of huge water, precisely because of flows bigger than 10.000 cubic per second, we had to decrease production possibilities. And this summer also were recorded extremely small flows, smaller than 2.500 cubic per second.
