Minister of Energy Zorana Mihajlovic says that public companies can make significant savings without employees’ dismissal and that the position of companies in reconstruction that are often disloyal competition because they don’t pay for gas and electricity needs to be solved.
“Huge majority of 179 companies in reconstruction are doing completely legal business and they are not obligated to pay for electricity and gas. Their debt for electricity in the last 7 to 9 years amounts more than 20 billion dollars likewise gas debt”, Zorana Mihajlovic said.
Minister of Energy stressed that priority of Serbian Government will be rationalization of public companies which does not consider employees’ dismissal, but savings.
