Administrative court of Serbia canceled energy permit to Canadian company REV which planned to build hydropower plant on the river Lim near Brodarevo and it returned process on beginning, announced non-governmental organization Euromost.
Energy permit was canceled on the basis of appeal which non-governmental organizations from Brodarevo and Prijepolje sent to the Administrative court.
In Euromost confirm that it is another proof that the whole process was taken on the illegal way on what were indicated non-governmental organizations from Serbia and Montenegro.
From Euromost reminds that government of Serbia gave positive opinion of the Study of the influences on environment to the company REV and broke ESPO convention, although the Commission that founded Agency for Montenegro environment cited in the report that study had to be altered.
It is added that municipality Bijelo Polje will soon organize round table about hydropower plant construction on Lim on the basis of citizens’’ initiative which have been started by non-governmental organizations
