EPS Director Aleksandar Obradovic said that last year his company managed to finish as the second most profitable company in the country and to maintain a dominant position in the market . The two phases of liberalization of the electricity market have been completed , and from the beginning of July or latest by end of this year, the citizens will have the opportunity to choose their electricity supplier, Obradovic stated.
Obradovic emphasized that EPS has not only survived the first two waves of liberalization, but has managed to retain a dominant position in both waves of liberalization.
According to his words, regarding the high-voltage EPS retained more than 97 percent of the market and gain additional revenues in excess of 2.5 billion dinars.
Obradovic reminded that the establishment of the company EPS Supply has provided with liberalization of electricity market as the original intention to separate the supply of electricity from electricity distribution was successful.
Chairman of the Board of EPS Aca Markovic pointed out that last year in Serbia produced 37 billion kilowatt hours of electricity, from which three billion kilowatt hours were exported to the neighboring countries .
The plan for this year is that the production would be about 35 billion kilowatt- hours , said Markovic .
