Serbian state-owned utility EPS has launched a public tender for professional supervision of construction works at the 66 MW Kostolac wind farm, with the contract estimated at approximately €275,000.
EPS said stronger oversight is required due to significant construction delays and deviations from the original project schedule. The selected contractor will be required to perform supervision in accordance with Serbia’s Law on Planning and Construction and related regulations, while coordinating with teams already engaged on the project.
The supervisor will monitor construction activities on a daily basis, verify the quality of materials and equipment, review the construction log and prepare weekly, monthly and final reports. The assignment will also include coordination with the FIDIC engineer, the previously appointed supervision team and the construction contractor.
The contractor will be required to promptly notify EPS of irregularities, potential risks and deviations from the construction schedule, allowing the utility to take corrective action where necessary.
The Kostolac wind farm is part of EPS’s broader strategy to increase renewable energy generation and support Serbia’s national energy and decarbonization objectives.
