Serbian Ministry of Environmental Protection said that state-owned power utility EPS has submitted a request for determining the need of an environmental impact assessment study for the project for the reconstruction of hydropower plants on the Vlasina river, with total installed capacity of 128.7 MW.
According to the statement from the Ministry, EPS is planning the reconstruction of HPPs Vrla 1, Vrla 2, Vrla 3 and Vrla 4, located in the municipalities of Surdulica and Vladicin Han.
