Serbia gets its first small solar power plant, 4MEUR invested in “Matarova”

The construction of the biggest solar plant in Serbia is finished in the village Merdare near Kursumlija. Solar power plant “Matarova”, 2MW strong, is on voltage and in function on 4ha long area.

Gascom Balkan company which is linked with Italian Corporation “Gascom Spa” will became the absolute leader in this area.

Corporation “Solar Matarova”, seated in Novi Sad, whose founder is “Gascom Balkan” from Belgrade, has built the biggest photovoltaic plant in the surroundings, worth 3-4 million Euros and showed that investing in Serbia on renewable sources basis is affordable, it was stated in the company from Novi Sad.

According to statements of Milan Cvijetinovic, Director of the biggest photovoltaic plant in Serbia, this is not the only project the company works on. Getting permissions for two more photovoltaic plants on territory of Svrljig municipality with total power of 11MW is in its final phase. This company which does business within Italian Corporation “Gascom Spa” will became the absolute leader in this area.
