Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia (AERS) has given approval to the rules of the electricity market. This established the necessary legal framework for the further development of this market based on the principle of competition and its integration into the European market.
Rules of the market functioning, which was prepared by Electric Power Grid of Serbia, have been written in accordance with the Energy Law and the regulations of the European Union, they said from AERS. The Rules regulate the principles, rules and procedures in a wholesale market in Serbia and contractual framework which specifies the rights and obligations of participants in the market. Market rules usually stipulate the rules of balance responsibilities, balance market, and variations budget and financial settlement of responsible parties.
The approval to Rules of the electricity market, is a completion to one of the most important and complex by-laws, after a long preparation, a number of additions, corrections and adjustments and the public debate, it says in the statement.
