Serbia makes considerable progress in EU integration, Uncategorized
Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic met on Monday with EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule and stressed that Serbia has achieved significant progress in EU integration, voicing his expectation that it will be granted candidate status in December.
Cvetkovic briefed Fule about the continuation of reforms and implementation of adopted laws and agreements which ensued after the European Commission issued a positive opinion on Serbia’s candidate status.
He also underlined that Serbia is fully open to a constructive dialogue with Pristina, especially regarding the resolution of practical issues of critical importance for citizens, voicing his hope that dialogue will resume soon, once the conditions for it are met.
Fule commended Serbia for its progress on the EU path so far, stressing that he expects that the implementation of adopted laws will continue and that Serbia will achieve progress in dialogue with Pristina.
