RTB. – The “Red” metal produced in the Mining and Smelting Basin provides customers with superior quality all these years, who pay premiums for copper from Bor, ie they do not buy it on stock exchange market for a flet price, but fo pay more for it. It is chemically pure, has a specific crystalline structure and does not contain any additives that cause brittleness, which allows it to be drawn to the finest diameters. Namely, from boron copper can be drawn a wire with a thickness of a hair, and this is due the fact that it does not have bismuth in the traces. That’s why copper produced in the Mining and Smelting Basin Bor is highly appreciated on the domestic and foreign markets, so customers also pay through the LME price to get it.
The amount of the premium is determined by the conditions of sale, so, for example, throughout 2017, RTB Bor sold copper with a premium which reached $ 100 per ton. A total of 43 thousand tons were sold, of which 32 thousand tons were sold on the foreign market, while 11 thousand tons of cathode copper remained in the country, with domestic processors – with the “Copper Mill” Sevojno and “Pometon”.
Boron copper belongs to the group of the highest quality metals produced in the world and therefore it is a very demanded good. It is of high quality because it has a purity of 99.99 percent, which enables it to securely place on the domestic and foreign markets under the conditions that apply to “grade A” quality.
