During this and next year Mining – Smelter Basin “Bor” expects a significant increase in production.
GM of Bor company stated for Serbia Energy that for 2013 he expect that production will reach 40 thousand tons of cathode copper, during next year production level will reach 55 to 60 thousand tons, and at the end of 2015, if Bor company start exploitation of ore finding “Kriveljski kamen” or “Cerovo primarno “, production will be more than 80 thousand tons of cathode copper”, explained Spasovski GM of RTB.
Considering new findings, he added that the ore reserves were so big that they provided a “steady production in the next 150 to 200 years.”
According to his expectations, further researches will show that mining and ore processing may last much longer in Bor and Majdanpek.
Thereby, Spaskovski pointed to the success of RTB “Bor” workers in the last year, on ore finding stripping and new fields exploration.
