Serbia needs EUR10.5bn investments in energy infrastructure by 2020

Investment of around around EUR10.5bn is needed for Serbia’s energy infrastructure by 2020, an analyst claims.

Costis Stambolis, Executive Director of the Institute for Energy of Southeast Europe made the estimate in a speech on March 7 at a conference on opening the Southeast Europe energy market held in Belgrade.

Tanjug news agency quoted Stambolis as saying investments in Serbia will include the construction of gas infrastructure, modernization of refineries, construction of power stations and around EUR600m of investments in renewable energy.
