Serbia: New mining legal framework stops mines sales to investors, strategy is attract investors as strategic partners says Minister Bacevic
, MiningMinister of Mining, Milan Bacevic has confirmed that Serbian mines won’t be on sale but they will get strategic partners. This is the major change in new mining law presented to public in Serbia. Present investors are not expected to change their strategies but to adopt to new circumstances.
According to his words, the goal is to keep strategic materials in mayor property of the state.
Serbian mines won’t be on sale but they will get strategic partners like it was defined in Geological Research and Mining Draft.
This will to keep strategic materials in mayor property of the state wherever this is possible- Milan Bacevic, Minister of Mining, stated.
Minister says that some mining and smelting companies from Turkey and Azerbaijan have shown some interest for “Magnohrom”.
