Serbian oil company NIS, majority owned by Russian GazpromNeft, said that it has signed a 1.15 million dollars worth contract for the purchase of Kirkuk crude oil with Petraco Oil Trading Company from Malta.
According to the agreement, the Maltese company will deliver the crude oil in the period between January and December 2022. However, the amount of crude oil that NIS will buy was not disclosed.
The Kirkuk crude oil is extracted in northern Iraq and is then transported to Turkey via the Kirkuk- Ceyhan oil pipeline.
