Serbia: “SECI Energia” Italy invests 9 million euros to build five mini hydro power plants in Vranje
, News Serbia EnergyMayor Zoran Antic and director of the Italian company “Ceci Energia” Luciano Sipione signed on 14 March contract on the construction of five small hydropower plants, worth 9 million, was announced on the website of the city of Vranje.
As noted, the contract is the result of the Agreement between the Government of Serbia and Italy, and activities started in December 2011. For the preparation of study, the Institute “Jaroslav Cherni” was engaged . The small hydropower plants will be built on the basis of a detailed analysis in Banjska, Korbevacka and Jelasnica River.
– So, we reaffirmed the seriousness and responsibility when it comes to new investments and community development. Construction of small hydropower plants raises energy potential, which is very important for those who want to invest in Vranje – said Antic.
