The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has approved a loan of 103 million euros from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to support the construction of the Poklecani wind farm. The loan has a repayment term of 25 years, with a five-year grace period. It will be allocated to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), and the project will be managed by the state-owned power utility EP HZHB.
The wind farm will be located near Rakitno in the southern part of the country. It will consist of 20 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 132 MW. The project is expected to generate 436.96 GWh of electricity annually, contributing to the country’s renewable energy capacity and sustainability efforts.
