The Croatian state-owned oil transportation company JANAF has announced the acquisition of the Bulinac solar power plant, which has an installed capacity of 5.18 MW. This move is part of JANAF’s ongoing strategy to diversify its business operations. The acquisition was made through JANAF’s subsidiary, JANAF OIE, which secured 100% ownership of local electricity producer Prudens Consilium, the owner and operator of the Bulinac plant located near Bjelovar in central Croatia. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
In addition to this acquisition, JANAF signed an agreement in May to purchase 100% of Solar Energy Vodjinci, the developer of a 14.3 MW solar project near Vinkovci in eastern Croatia. The project has already received a building permit, and JANAF expects the power plant to be commissioned by March 2025.
