A total of 414,520.1 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market on the Serbian energy exchange (SEEPEX) in February 2026, which is a 2.4% increase compared to the previous month, with an average of 14,804.3 MWh/day. Traded volume in February 2026 was 12.4% lower than in the same month last year.
The average daily base price on the day-ahead market in February amounted to 68.61 euros/MWh, a 41.9% decrease compared to January, while the average euro-peak price reached 74.05 euros/MWh, down 45.7%.
SEEPEX was officially launched on 17 February 2016, with an initial traded volume of 1,925 MWh. It is jointly owned by the Serbian electricity transmission system operator (EMS) and European Power Exchange (EPEX SPOT), with the aim of supporting the development of a competitive, transparent, and reliable electricity market in Serbia and southeastern Europe, and significantly increasing electricity trading volumes in the region. The exchange launched an intraday market in July 2023.
