Senvion has finalised a contract to supply turbines to Elicio’s 42MW Alibunar wind farm in Serbia.
The German manufacturer will deliver, install and commission 21 MM100 turbines with hub heights on 100 metres for the project, which is located 60km north of Belgrade.
Installation has been brought forward to the first half of 2018, instead of the autumn of that year, Senvion said.
Senvion will also carry out servicing of the turbines for 15 years.
The company signed a conditional contract with Elicio for the turbines in September last year.
Alibunar is located close to the Malibunar wind farm, where four Senvion MM100 turbines will be installed in the second half of this year.
Senvion chief executive Jürgen Geissinger said: “Our activities in Serbia mark a milestone which reflects our successful strategy to enter in new markets.”
