The winner of the tender for the South Stream construction in Serbia could be a daughter company of Gazprom. The decision on it is already made, but it will be officially released in a few days, after performing all technical formalities.

In addition, according to russian “Vjedomosti”, Centrogas will be included in the construction scheme of the Bulgarian section of the pipeline. In which way, he did not say. One of the options is the tender repeating.
In late April, the company South Stream Bulgaria announced that the tender for the design, the equipment and materials supply, construction-assembly works as the commissioning of the main gas pipeline South Stream in Bulgaria won Strojtransgas consortium, a joint venture of Russian Strojtransgas (co-owned by Gennady Timchenko on the list of U.S. sanctions) and Gasprojekt South from Bulgaria.

About how Centrogas could replace Strojtransgas in the Bulgarian part of the pipeline wrote “Forbes” late last week.

At the request of the European Commission, the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Plamen Oresharski ordered the suspension of work on the South Stream construction in early June because of the consultations with the European Commission, announced media then.

Representative of Strojtransgas said then that they did not receive any notification. He refused to comment it yesterday, and same thing did a Gazprom representative, transmitted of “Vjedomosti”.
