Regarding the information that Gazprom Export and the Serbian Government have signed the protocol for the extension of the deadline for the repayment of Serbian gas debt, Minister Antic said that no new protocol has been signed and these payments are in accordance with the protocol signed in 2014, for Russian gas supplied back in 2001.
Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Antic said that the last tranche of debt for Russian natural gas supplied to Srbijagas will be repaid on time, namely before 30 June this year. Therefore, Srbijagas will fulfill all its obligations under the protocol signed in 2014.
Minister Antic said that according to protocol, in 2014 and 2015 Srbijagas has, with the help of the Serbian Government, paid about 200 million dollars of debt and that there is still a little over 20 million dollars to be paid. He added that in 2016, Srbijagas repaid the debt with its own funds.

According to Dusan Bajatovic, General Director of Srbijagas, Sthe company achieved profit in the amount of 38.2 million euros in the first three months of 2016. It was pointed out that increased gas production contributed greatly to good operational results in the first quarter, although the price of gas was reduced. Compared to the same period in 2015, natural gas consumption rose by 5.4 % and reached 725 million cubic meters, transmits Serbia-energy.eu
