The city of Sremska Mitrovica has put up for public debate the draft detailed regulation plan for the construction of two solar power plants – Nocaj 1 and 2.
According to the plan, the solar complex will consist of two plants Nocaj 1 and Nocaj 2, with combined installed capacity of 75 MW, is planned in the village areas of the settlements Nocaj and Salas Nocajski, on around 320.49 hectares. The solar power plant will be of the agri-solar type – the solar panels will be installed on agricultural land.
Farming cultures will be grown beneath the solar panels, such as are compatible to the type of the solar panels and the usage rate of the land will thereby be increased. In the same area, thanks to the solar energy, two products will be produced – electricity in solar panels and farming cultures. Also, it will be possible to graze cattle beneath the solar panels.
The investor in the project is local subsidiary of Israeli company L.O.I 360 Strategy and Business Development.
